A new computer booking system is introduced for all Gedling venues.

8 further 650w profile stage lanterns were acquired

During month a 2 further masking sets were added. The Gedling Borough Arts Strategy report was released for consultation

During month a further hand line set was added. Lynda Jordon retired as manager.

During month an intelligent light together with DMX control for 24 channels was added.

During the Christmas break 2 new perch positions and 2 hand lines set were added to the theatre.
September 2003
During the summer a new sound desk, amps and ring intercom have been installed together with an additional FOH lighting bar and wall brackets.
May 2003
An afternoon long celebration of free entertainment marked Arnold Leisure Centre's/ Bonington Theatre’s 21st birthday and the official opening of its refurbished reception. The new reception was officially opened with a giant key the symbol for 21st birthday. Leisure Centre and theatre staff celebrated the milestone with a special birthday cake
As part of the celebrations the area was decorated festively with banners and balloons. Clowns performing magic promoted the event around Arnold town centre and there were face painters at the centre
The afternoon's festivities also included a magician's show performed by Freddie Wilkinson in the Bonington Theatre.
The reception area has undergone a significant modernisation incorporating fully automated doors for better access. The box office desk has been moved to the side to create a more open and uncluttered effect. The floor has been levelled to enable easier disabled access and a relaxing blue colour scheme has been adopted. The streamlined look has been completed with vending machines in cabinets and new stainless steel effect furniture.

The new foyer and box office are now open

Gedling Borough Council has commissioned a survey of the present and future arts facilities in the Borough and the report is due out this month.
January 2003
A new curtain track is being installed along with 2 new perch positions and a rear lighting bar.
The 72 way board and dimmers have are now been installed.
Improvements to the show relay and Front of House communications are being installed
December 2002
Some upgrading and improvements are being carried out in the theatre including the provision of a 72 channel lighting control, additional dimmers and patching.
A new foyer and box office are being installed over the Christmas period and should be up and running later in the new year.
