Tim Flint

|
For those who haven’t had the TIM FLINT ‘EXPERIENCE’, it really is amazing. Tim isn’t just an organist, but also an entertainer, a musician, and a showman, believing that each performance should be ‘a show’, where the audience can forget their worries for a while, and lose themselves in the evening. As a player, he is excellent, being one of that rare breed that can turn his playing to almost any style: Classical, Orchestral, Jazz, Big Band, Theatre Organ, Electronic Organ, Jazz Organ, Piano, Latin American, and even more modern styles. |
As an
entertainer, he is larger than life, a big man (standing around 6’2”) who over
the years has earned himself a reputation for flamboyance, usually seen in his evening
performances wearing various sparkling outfits of different styles and
colours, flowing
capes etc, and his ability to ‘communicate’ and ‘interact’ with the audience
(not forgetting his very quick wit and humour) is widely recognized, making the whole
experience
‘unforgettable’.

By Jimmy Chin

This is a
play about relationships centring mainly around Bob, his partner Jeff and their somewhat rocky one. Throw in Bob’s mother
Vera, who is oblivious of her son’s homosexuality, and sisters Nona, who has
recently separated from husband Arthur, and Lois, who is pregnant again but at
least still married to Bill, and you have a family who, in American parlance,
should be in therapy. It is also a play about lies (in all their guises) and we
know this because Bob tells us so.

Dart Board Band Presents

On Stage
7.30 Tickets £10
The entire
classic Beatles album, followed by a full programme of
the greatest Beatles hits. Don’t miss the Abbey Road Tour as it visits the
Bonnington Theatre, The Band started in 1996 by the multi talented Martin
Dimery, writer, musician and actor. Some members of the band had previously
played in a touring show featuring the music of The Kinks, The
Who and Pink Floyd and were fortunate to play The Glastonbury Festival and The
Bath Festival Opening Night. Being experienced musicians the band quickly
gained a reputation for being a fine live band,
The band
prides themselves on playing 'completely live' and without the use of backing
tracks. This means that songs like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds",
"A Day in the Life", "Hello Goodbye", "I Am The
Walrus" etc can be given the full treatment live on stage, something which
the Beatles, unfortunately, never did. The boys aim is to carry the music and
spirit of the Beatles through their barnstorming live performances. Audiences
both young and old enjoy their covers of the Beatles greatest hits and a
selection of album tracks from 1962 - 1970. The band brings a fresh tongue in
cheek humour to their performances, which are not unlike that of the Fab Four.

Under a
Michelangelo Sky is new verse drama about domestic violence and post natal

What the

guide to puerperal psychosis’ ‘the flint family, credible characters
created by a young team adept at comedy, tragedy and the traditional
Nottinghamshire wedding punch up’ ‘seeing work by Maura Murphy is like
mixing your drinks.’

The all

which takes
it's name and inspiration from one of the greatest drummers of all time:Max
Roach.
Partisans have been thrilling audiences since
it's formation in 1996 with it's tightly knit themes and a great freedom coming
from the years of playing and giging together
.One of the
first new wave of UK jazz bands to be influenced as much by Jimi Hendrix as by
Miles Davis or Sonny Rollins, their visceral, groove based sound, combines bop lines
with rock riffs and flowing melodies, bridging the gap between New York swing,
rock and the US jam-band scene.
“Partisans were the highlight of the festival
