featuring: Dave Stapleton - piano, Jonny Bruce - trumpet, Ben Waghorn - saxophones Paula Gardiner - double bass, Elliott Bennett - drums

As compelling and powerful live as they are on record, DSQ released their third album 'Between the Lines' in 2010 to rave reviews. Stapleton has gained a reputation as an ambitious composer - his contemporary high energy jazz, with its powerful riffs and melodic hooks, echoes the excitement of 1960s Blue Note bebop.

Stapleton draws on a wide range of enthusiasms, from Herbie Hancock's 1970s Mwandishi band to Keith Jarrett's quartet with Jan Garbarek.' - John Fordham, The Guardian
