With a stellar line up of the contemporary jazz scene Julian Siegel, saxophonist with the Partisans, leads this new quartet on its first UK tour promoting a CD to be released in September 2002.  Intimate melodies, mixed with jazz and dance floor grooves composed by one of the most in demand saxophonists on the scene.

Peter Brötzmann’s Machine Gun was one of the defining albums of European free jazz.  More recently Last Exit with Bill Laswell, took his unique high energy, force of nature saxophone to a wider audience.  Drummer Mark Sanders and bass player John Edwards work internationally as a rhythm section most recently with Charles Gayle, Evan Parker, DJ Olive, and Toshinori Kondo.

Internationally acclaimed guitarist John Etheridge formed this ‘Hot Club de Paris’ style quartet three years ago as a personal tribute to the great jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli with whom he played for several years.  With Etheridge on lead guitar are violinist Christian Garrick, Dave Kelbie on rhythm guitar, and Malcolm Creese on bass.  This is just the band to bring some ‘joie de vivre’ into your Christmas.

Follow the star is the story of the Nativity performed in the style of Joseph & the amazing Technicolor Dream coat and Pantomime. The show contains songs which will have your feet tapping, your faces smiling and laughter ringing out. The smallest Angel in Heaven (Gabby ) is sent to earth to bring Mary the good news. Herod appears rather like Abanazar in Aladdin. There is lots of participation for the audience, even a song to join in with.
